These red homes are located along the roads of Italy belonging to a road works official. Though my painting does not depict a road, street or highway, I chose this rich red terracotta color for my home and it reminded me of the "Casa Cantoniera" I saw dotting the roadways of italy.

ReplyDeleteI wish I knew something about art to be able to comment appropriately without sounding like a dork. ;-) In any case, italian scenes and landscapes always make wonderful subjects. The great masters knew a good thing when they saw it!
