This was a birthday gift for a woman from her husband.  My friend has a painting just like this sitting in her office - the angel is wearing a yellow dress which I'd painted for her in 2011.  Her sister would often comment that she'd like one just like it.  So when her sister's husband needed gift ideas, my friend mentioned the painting and I was commissioned to paint another but with a different dress color and different hair. 

 

It's the red cowboy boots.  We do, after all, live in Texas.  Of course our angels wear cowboy boots!

This is the latest Angel Walking painting.  This particular angel has been very popular and I was commissioned to paint another.  I need to paint one more as I have yet another commission to do this same sort of painting.  In some of the commissions I've been asked to paint the angel with brown hair or blond.  This has really been fun to paint.
