I was experimenting with a new medium "Medium 5" (butter) by Lukas - it was new to me - it may have been around for awhile. It speeded drying. I loved the purples in the iris and couldn't resist painting another purple flower - the Lilac. This painting is so loose and almost abstract that if I'd not told you it was of lilac flowers, would you have known?"Scent of Lilac"
