I painted a pitcher or Sangria on the table.  This painting also seemed very Summery to me - the yellow dress and warm background colors.

Palette Knife Oil Painting - Judy Mackey - Summer Vacation

"Summer Vacation"

8 x 6 inches, Oil on Raymar Board

This just felt summery. The photo is a little washed out, my bad.

I thought the year had only just started and it's already the middle of May. It's already time to think about where to go for Summer vacation or what to do for a staycation...Either way - why not a red halter top red dress for Summer?

End of Summer

"End of Summer"
6 x 6 inches, Oil on Board
Well it is September after all...here in North Texas, it's still sandals and short sleeves but there is a definite Autumn feel in the breezes. My friend said she saw a flock of geese flying South in a "V" formation the other day.

Summer and an Adirondack Chair

With temperatures nearing record highs this past week in my area - Summer is making it's presence felt...
After the lawn is mowed why not just take a glass of iced lemonade and sit in an Adirondack Chair and listen to the cicadas chirp?

Calm

Finished this painting yesterday. It is similar to my earlier painting titled Mist, which I had done last month. All the rains we had in Spring and Early Summer gave us lot of gray and misty days and I suppose I was influenced by the colors that were around me. This painting is a smaller size at 14 x 11 inches. I've named it "Calm" - I was thinking that if it were gray and misty the winds might be quiet.
