So, last week we had 100 hours of below freezing temperatures here in North Texas!  So it started with a pair of feet sticking out of the bed sort of painting and when they started to announce school, businesses, and office closings, this little idea popped into my head....what if you had found yourself stuck in you house but didn't have anyone over that would have shared the snuggly moments in the morning, you'd be saying "Darn!"

On Tuesday morning, as the weather people had predicted we were awakened by the sound of sleet, freezing rain. howling winds and thundering snows pelting our house.  A lot of the U.S. has had wintery wintery cold weather which is my inspiration for this painting.  

I posted this painting on FB and it sold right away....I guess I'm not the only who pushes the snooze button.

A contemporary bedroom. The lights above were bathing the pillows in warmth, making the white linen a little yellow. A simple bed, almost masculine in it's simplicity, modern and yet, quite inviting.
