Wonderment

Last year I took a workshop taught by Robert Moore. For one lesson we used Lamp Black for our blue, Burnt Sienna for our red and yellow ochre for our yellow to paint in a limited palette. Remembering this lesson, I've painted this little daisy yesterday.

Ernest Hemmingway's home in Key West, Florida is noted for the cats with six toes. I took a photo of this fellow sipping from a fountain in his garden.

The Color Purple

A purple colored margarite daisy. Painted loosely with a palette knife. "The Color Purple" 5 x 5 inches, painted on gessoed masonite board. I'll be posting this on eBay in a day or two.

Spring is coming! I'm feeling it. Our local Home Depot only carries pansies still but we've been have strange warm days (80+ degrees). I love December 21 when the days start to grow long again and Spring when the trees begin to bud and flowers need to be planted.

Home on the Range

I took a photo of this home during our trip to Yellowstone, although this home was on the Idaho side. The bushes in front of the home was overgrown and it appeared to be abondoned.
