The Color Purple
A purple colored margarite daisy. Painted loosely with a palette knife. "The Color Purple" 5 x 5 inches, painted on gessoed masonite board. I'll be posting this on eBay in a day or two.
Spring is coming! I'm feeling it. Our local Home Depot only carries pansies still but we've been have strange warm days (80+ degrees). I love December 21 when the days start to grow long again and Spring when the trees begin to bud and flowers need to be planted.

Jud, hi
I appreciate your visit to my last painting and your comment, the comments always encourage me, I visited your blog too, and I have seen that you painted some of Italy, are very good, is not easy to paint with palette knife, that I know. In 1977 I had an exhibition in Dallas TX and visited also FortW, my 45 days in Texas were a wonderful and unforgettable experience.
I wish you a year full of good paintings.

Hi Alex,
Thank you for visitng my site and leaving me a comment. You are right, a comment on the site is very encouragin. Dallas and Fort worth has changed quite a bit since you've last visited. I've been here since 1986. The town I live in now was just a cluster of farm homes and now it is a thriving communitiy.
Good Luck to you too, and come back visit again.
Judy
