Blue Eyes

I've had to ask my friends for name suggestions and settled for "blue eyes" for this painting. I could just name them the animal I paint but then I'd have Siamese 1, Siamese 2, etc... So I picked Nancy Medina's suggestion for this title.

There are so many incredible people out there who work tirelessly to make lives better for dogs and cats. I often write about my friend Nancy on this blog because we paint together, but she's a mom to three pugs and also involved with the DFW Pug Rescue and often fosters pugs before they find a loving family to adopt them. (Ok that was a super long, run-on sentence but she does a lot) So here's a big THANK YOU for taking care of those who can not speak in words but speak to our hearts.

"Blue Eyes"

Just when I thought you're a total dog person, you go and do a beautiful Siamese portrait like this! Wonderful.

Hi Judy! *waving paws* I'm so proud you picked "blue eyes" and your new kitty portrait is beautiful. Thank you for mentioning DFW pug rescue, they're going to be in the St. Patrick's day parade so if you want some free beads, be sure to attend! Soon you will be able to launch your own pet portrait blog. : )

Oh I love her and the name Nancy picked is perfect.

I agree rescue work is the most special kind of love out there and Nancy is my hero!
