First Love, the Love Bug

"First Love"
20 x 24 x 3/4 inches
Oil on Canvas, Painted with the Palette Knife
Actually my first car was the Honda Civic - many, many years ago when the Honda Civic was a small little bug of a car. I wonder how many of you did start with a Volkswagon Bug? Gosh, they're still cute.

Last Friday, my painter pal Nancy Medina had a show at Stems in Grapevine. This is such a great photo of her and her husband, Carlos.

Love, love this painting.
My dad drove a bug for years and my daughter has one now. I told her she'd never forget that this was her first car.

I love this!! I would paint one of my first cars [ Pinto] but I would feel obligated to paint a fireball coming out of the gas tank.

Ah, ..."Slug Bug"!

Me! Me! In fact, that may be MY car! It was red, too. The engine was so small my ex used to say it was a sewing machine engine, and thus the "stitching" lines on the road.

What fun. My first car was a small red Subaru, my second, a Honda Hatchback. That was my first, and only, stick shift. Great painting Judy.

Beautiful painting Judy. I was a 'Mini' fan - over here it was either the 'Beetle' or the 'Mini' ... I can't remember seeing any other type of car!
